St John celebrations

Among the many things Italy is famous in the world fashion, and historical costumes are definitely two.
If you love fashion and its history, if you love Europe because it feels just like a time machine, then Turin is your best destination particularly during the St. John the Baptist Day celebrations.

the Romans in Turin

Once visitors make it over, virtually everybody falls in love with Turin, its elegant architecture and rational structure - a legacy of the Roman times. The ancient Roman military camp on whose grid the Turin's downtown developed together with the Palatine Towers are the local Roman souvenirs to remind everyone that Turin has a long history!

Lyn fascinated by Turin!

Back in October 2015, through Instagram we connected with Louise Rhodes, an Aussie friend with a passion for food, wine and travel.

Museums to see in Turin

Through the centuries Turin has always been one of the main centers where creative minds, intellectuals and innovators converged to. Maybe because of its clean 18th century architecture and polished elegance, the average Turin resident is generally quite into arts and always on the look for mental stimulation, literally of any kind.
So, it makes sense that Turin hosts many unique museums with incredible large collections you won't find in any other city!

These are the top 5 musuems you can't miss out on your first visit to Turin!

TurinEpi15 July 22

Wednesday, July 22  was a rich day of events for all the Turin Epicurean Capital 2015 guests. We started the day with the second round table facilitated by Daniela Mondino
As there were four guests with a very varied background, Daniela prepared customized questions for each one of them, yet keeping food as the main common topic.
Daniela introduced herself to explain where her questions where originating, and as a Turinese who had lived in Dublin asked Silvia Baldini about her feelings as a Turinese living in the US.
