Piedmont top 10 loves

As always we are happy to share posts by our online friends and today we are sharing Lamie Yang's. She was born in 1996 in Taipei, Taiwan where she graduated in Mass Communication.
One night she had an epiphany that revealed to her how much she loves food and cooking; this is how she got here in Piedmont, where she is currently a student in the University of Gastronomic Sciences Master program in Pollenzo.

She flew 10,000 kilometers to Piedmont: the best place for food and wine. Her Master in Gastronomy focuses on World Food Cultures and Mobility.
Lamie also loves photography, traveling and sharing stories with people. She is addicted to food, people, and everything happening in Italy. After her graduation, she would like to work in the food and beverage export business in Italy.

10 things I love about Piedmont

Studying aboard in Piedmont is the best choice I’ve ever made!
At almost 10 thousand kilometers away from home, Piedmont is located between the Alps and the Ligurian coast; it is a region with a unique cuisine and it produces some of the most famous wines in the world!

street food in Taiwan

I love the way people have their coffee in the morning, some of the moka pots are even older than me.
I love how I can only spend 7 euros for a glass of red and it still tastes as the best wine in the world! To top this experience, visiting the wine producers only takes about 30 minutes by car.

hand-chopped raw Fassone beef and vitel tonné are two of the traditional Piedmontese starters

I love the path I bike to school everyday, with farms and the Langhe hills.
I love the architecture of Turin, you could sense the impact from House of Savoy.
I love we are so close to Alba, the white truffle hub and how I can taste these treasures for half the price of what people pay back home, in Taiwan.

plin, tajarin, agnolotti are just some of the regional pastas in Piedmont

I love there are so many different shapes and names for pasta I still can’t even recognize them all 🙆

I love Tajarin al sugo con la Salsiccia di Bra, this sausage made with raw beef is a must-try if you visit Bra.
I love how everyone bumps into everyone every single day in the small town where I live, and people are so close to each other.

the University of Gastronomic Sciences is located inside the Pollenzo castle

I love how Turin is not full of tourists like most other popular European cities, so you can experience the beauty of her local life.
I love my school life at the University of Gastronomic Science and my classmates from all over the world, everyday is a gastronomic adventure 😋
