Turinepi15 day 2

July 22 2015 there will be the second day of Turin Epicurean Capital 2015.
This will be a rich day for all our guests as it will start with a round table and it will finish with 3 tours!!


At 10:45 at Teatro San Giuseppe in Via Doria 18/A in Turin, 
Daniela Mondino will facilitate the second round table of this edition.

Daniela is a
 Turin Dubliner whose love for Turin grew on her after living in Dublin for several years. She is the pedagogical director of Oversea/Excalibur and has a passion for second language acquisition, linguistics as well as travelling and cultures.




This second round table will have the following participants:




Silvia Baldini
a Turin native who currently living on the East Coast (USA) where she is a professional chef and TV personality working in the food world with celebrities and culinary professionals.
She is the founder and owner of Strawberry and Sage an event company.







Lisa M. Comento
grew up in the Bay Area but has been living in Washington D.C. since 2007. She owes her love for cooking and eating well to her mother and grandmothers who taught her since she was a little girl. She is currently a contributing food writer for FoodableTV.com covering the DC food scene and in her free time she enjoys travelling, yoga and hiking.
  






Sandra Jimenez Osorio
is a Colombia pastry chef turned Instagram food photographer star. She has been a resident of Madrid, Spain for the past 30 years and she wears many hats. In fact, she is a pastry chef, a food stylist, a pastry chef instructor and food writer for different magazines.




Laura Silver
is a native New Yorker and an award-winning author for Knish: In Search of the Jewish Soul Food. She is many things: scholar, writer in residence, journalist, food writer, baking teacher,a sought-after public speaker and is currently teaching at the New School.








The afternoon program is reserved for the Turin Epicurean Capital speakers as they will be offered a tour at the MAO - Museum of Asian Art and Palazzo Madama,

At the MAO they will visit the National Geographic photo exhibit On The Spices Route - Sulla Rotta delle Spezie open till September 27 2015


At Palazzo Madama they will start the visit of the exhibit Time Table- A Tavola nei Secoli about how tables used to be set up over the past centuries. This exhibit is in collaboration with Prochet 1861, a real Turin institution for everything concerning china, crystals, tableware and table design. Therefore, the Turin Epicurean Capital speakers will conclude their Time Table visit right in this historical shop, where they will be up close and personal with the most interesting items and among the many things, will hear how the espresso tiny cup was born;)
Time Table will close on October 10 2015.





The public is encouraged to follow the speakers' footprints and visit the same exhibits, they won't regret it!

Turin has beautiful museums with precious collections about many topics, there's enough to see for at least a whole week :D
