Turinepi15 day 1

We are almost ready to start the second edition of Turin Epicurean Capital.

The July 21 program will have a round table in the morning and the inauguration of a photo exhibit in the afternoon.


Bailey Alexander will facilitate the first round table of this second edition. She's from Seattle and has lived all around Europe before finally settling down in Piedmont where she's finding her happiness growing her garden and enjoyng the soothing changes of the seasons and the local foods and wines.
Bailey is also an amazing essayist and photographer.





At 10:45am her round table will start and she will facilitate:


Lucy Antal who comes from Liverpool and is an award winner preserves maker, a writer and naturally a food lover. Lucy is a supporter of food sustainability and a Slow Food committee member. 







William Lyons is a Royal Navy officer turned gastropub owner in Liverpool. It happened in 2003 when he took over The Monro and since then, his mission is to provide all his customers with the best gourmet experience in town.







Bina Shah comes from Karachi Pakistan. she's a renown writer of English fiction and a journalist. Bina grew up in the US and Pakistan and has a very multicultural background. she's a contributor to many international newspapers and her books have been translated in many languages.







Riikka Sukula is a Finnish Barolo producer who lives in the heart of the Langhe wine district, in Piedmont. She left Finland, bought a vineyard and is currently studying at the Universita' di Science Gastronomiche in Pollenzo to perfect the best contemporary wine making techniques. It's no surprise that she makes the top selling Barolo in the Scandivanian countries. 









At 4pm Michelle Bottalico will inaugurate her photo exhibit.

Michelle is originally from New Jersey and she has been taking pictures since an early age. She has worked as a photojournalist and as a wedding and family photographer in Philadelphia before moving to Italy.

Michelle will show us how she works and how her passion for photography was born and then we'll be able to admire her photo exhibit at Collegio San Giuseppe.




Michelle's presentation will be in the Teatro San Giuseppe in Via Doria 18/A at 4pm.

Michelle's photo exhibit will be at Collegio San Giuseppe, Via San Francesco da Paola 23 and will be open also on Wed, July 22 and Thurs, July 23.
